We are currently recruiting for this unique role of “Inpatient Veterinary Surgeon” for our client based in Brighton. Responsibilities of the role Assess all cases, formulating and implementing preventative, diagnostic and treatment plans as appropriate. Work collaboratively with colleagues within the practice to do the same. Ensure the treatment is carried out in accordance with practice protocols. To ensure the clinical team maintains regular communication with clients regarding case progress and clients are advised of case costs and informed consent is given. Complete clinical records and maintain including complete charging out of goods and services. Liaise with staff at charities and rescue centres with regard to providing veterinary care for their animals. To work alongside and delegate tasks as required with other clinical and support staff. To provide mentoring and support of the more junior vets. Any other task, consistent with the position of Veterinary surgeon, as required by the Practice Management Team. Skills & Qualifications MRCVS ECC / internal medicine qualification or working towards Confident with diagnostic imaging (xrays, US /- CT) Ability to communicate confidently with people at all levels Able to prioritise work based on clinical priority and importance A proven problem solver Attention to detail in all aspects of role – consistently produces work to the highest standard Hours/Salary/Benefits 36 hours per week 8am until 8pm Salary – 55-65k per year pro rata – depending on experience and qualifications 6.6 weeks annual leave pro rata RCVS, VDS paid 1 other subscription of choice £1750 CPD fund 5days CPD Auto enrolment pension scheme Health Shield enrolment Sick pay Enhanced maternity & paternity package Employee discount Opportunity to buy/ sell annual leave Perks discount
