Overview
This is an exciting opportunity to join the Welsh Ambulance Service Non‑Emergency Patient Transport team delivering transport at the following stations: Bronllys, Llanidloes, Ystradgynlais. Multiple bank positions are available across the Powys area.
Key Responsibilities
* Operate out of other stations as required.
* Drive an equipped NEPTS ambulance or other vehicle to transport patients safely between their place of residence and designated treatment centres and clinics.
* Assist patients with varying levels of mobility, including lifting and carrying to transfer to and from the Trust vehicle.
* Provide appropriate care and assistance within your level of training and competence, following the Trust Code of Conduct and Standards of Professional Behaviour, Service Instructions, and the Trust's Standing Procedures and Policies.
* Deliver goods or parcels as necessary.
* Provide administrative support to the Human Resources Team, efficiently administering the Trac recruitment system and the Electronic Staffing System.
Qualifications and Experience
* High standard of professionalism and compassion when providing a transport service to patients and other service users.
* Demonstrated reasonable standard of education and personal responsibility.
* Evidence of delivering excellent customer care.
* Ability to pass a practical driving assessment and a theory test based on the Highway Code.
* Availability for interview, assessment, and course dates: interview on 2 July 2026, course start 12 October 2026 (6 weeks).
* Willingness and ability to commute to the listed stations and additional locations as required.
* Desirable: ability to speak Welsh.
