Join Whitworths as a Production Planner – Be Part of Something Nutritious!
Location: Irthlingborough
Hours: Monday to Friday, 36.25 hours per week (06:45–15:00)
Salary: Up to £32,000, depending on skills and experience
We’re excited to offer a fantastic opportunity to join our team in Irthlingborough as a Production Planner. This role sits within our Production Planning and Customer Services Team, a key part of our dynamic Supply Chain function.
What You’ll Do
As Production Planner, you'll play a crucial role in delivering our 98.5% customer service KPI while supporting efficient, lean production. Your key responsibilities will include:
* Creating achievable daily production schedules by line, balancing materials, labour, and capacity.
* Minimising changeovers by grouping allergens, pack sizes, raw materials, and packaging types.
* Working closely with Manufacturing to ensure plans are executed smoothly, and deviations are understood and addressed.
* Updating and reissuing plans based on actual production performance.
* Liaising regularly with the Inbound Team to identify material constraints and adjust schedules accordingly—flagging any risks to service in advance.
What We’re Looking For
Ideally, you’ll have experience in a supply and demand planning environment. But if not, don’t worry—if you’re enthusiastic, eager to learn, and have some knowledge of manufacturing processes, full training will be provided.
We’re looking for someone who is:
* Detail-oriented and well-organised
* A confident communicator and team player
* Calm under pressure and solution-focused
* Passionate about delivering high-quality results
