Job Title: Warner Chappell Music Publishing Intern (12 month FTC) Application deadline: Friday 3rd October at 5pm AI Generated applications will not be accepted A little bit about our team: Warner Chappell UK is a team based in our London office. We have various departments, including Copyright, Royalties, Income Tracking, Finance, Digital, Legal and Business Affairs, A&R, Synchronisation, Production Music and Creative Services. The UK team collaborates with other teams in our global affiliate offices to deliver our service to our songwriters. Your role: Are you curious about what goes on behind the scenes in the music industry? Want to know how songwriters get paid, protected and promoted? Join our 12 month paid internship where you’ll rotate across our teams like A&R, Income Tracking, Legal, Digital and more to gain real insight, practical experience and a network that can shape your future career. You’ll work on live projects, switch between creative and operational tasks and learn how different teams support our songwriters across the globe. This isn’t about making tea; you’ll be fully immersed in the team, contributing from day one. We believe great ideas come from everywhere. You don’t need to have studied music or worked in the industry before; if you’re 18 and have a genuine interest in music publishing, we want to hear from you. Here you’ll get to: Participate in real projects and contribute to our team’s success Gain hands-on insight into all facets of the music publishing; creative, commercial and operational Build relationships across departments and learn how we work globally Develop skills in communication, problem-solving, teamwork and time management. The Rotation will include the following: Tracking Work with global metadata (e.g. ISWCs and ISRCs) to help identify missing income and ensure accurate song tracking. Build your understanding of how industry data is used to verify usage and close income gaps. Royalties: Support the team in reviewing royalty statements and understanding how revenue is distributed to songwriters. Learn how different income sources and partners operate, including timelines and reporting structures. Sync: Get an overview of the sync process, from licensing and deal negotiation to playlist curation and pitching Assist with project tracking, research and communication with managers, writers and clients. Creative Services: Contribute to creative campaigns that highlight our catalogue and writers across digital, partnerships and content Help coordinate marketing assets and support cross-team project planning. Finance: Assist with analysis of past financial reports and income patterns Support forecasting activities using data such as streaming performance or radio play Legal Business Affairs: Learn the key components of music publishing contracts and how agreements are managed internally. Support with contract reviews, sample clearances and research into rights queries Copyright: Support the registration or new works and ensure data accuracy within our publishing systems. Learn how publishing rights are managed across global collection societies (PROs/CMOs). Digital: Gain insight into how we license publishing rights to digital platforms and manage incoming queries Support the team in maintaining accurate rights data and responding to platform requests. Develop an understanding of our society relations work, maintain internal trackers and organise information from affiliates. A&R: Attend A&R and creative planning meetings and support with administrative and coordination tasks Help organise sessions, manage internal systems and upload new music to our tools.
