Our client supports a diverse range of sectors including infrastructure, renewable energy, manufacturing and critical services. With a long-standing reputation for engineering excellence, innovation and quality, they are now seeking a strong operational leader to take full ownership of workshop performance and drive standards across the business.
The Opportunity

Oversee stock control, tooling, equipment calibration and workshop compliance
Maintain the highest standards of health, safety and operational excellence
Manage budgets, control costs and drive continuous improvement initiatives
This role requires a leader who is comfortable taking ownership, driving accountability and maintaining high standards in a fast-paced engineering environment.
About You
We are seeking a technically strong and commercially aware engineering professional with:
A solid mechanical engineering background
Experience gained within a service, plant, power generation or heavy equipment environment
A proven track record of managing technical teams and improving workshop performance
Budget management and cost control experience
Strong organisational and workflow planning capability

Exposure to the following equipment would be highly advantageous:

This opportunity would particularly suit individuals who have progressed from hands-on engineering into supervisory or management roles. Candidates from a technical Armed Forces background (e.g. REME, Royal Navy Marine Engineering, RAF engineering trades) who have transitioned into leadership positions are strongly encouraged to apply.
You will be organised, decisive and calm under pressure, with strong communication skills and a structured approach to operational planning.
What's on Offer
In return, our client offers the opportunity to join a globally respected engineering business with a strong commitment to employee development and long-term career progression.
The package includes:
Competitive salary (£50,000 - £60,000)
Comprehensive pension provision
Private health insurance
Generous paid leave
Free parking and on-site facilities
