Trident Healthcare is seeking a dynamic and experienced Lead Radiographer to support the Head of Imaging in overseeing all aspects of the Imaging departments across our prestigious private client between their London sites. This is a pivotal leadership role combining clinical excellence, operational oversight, and team development.
You will be responsible for managing staffing levels, ensuring high standards of patient care, maintaining imaging protocols, and driving continuous improvement across the service. You'll also represent the Imaging department at Quality Group meetings and lead on key areas such as incident reporting, audits, and policy development.
Clinical Leadership
* Support the Head of Imaging with all clinical aspects of the department
* Maintain HCPC registration and uphold professional standards
* Act as a point of advice for referrers and radiologists
* Ensure patient safety and satisfaction across all sites
* Review and maintain high standards of image quality and provision
* Oversee MRI protocols and ensure ongoing improvement
* Communicate urgent findings and abnormalities to relevant clinicians
Operational Management
* Line manage Senior Training Radiographers, including 1:1s, appraisals, and team meetings
* Ensure sufficient staffing to meet service demand across modalities and sites
* Support equipment servicing and maintenance
* Lead departmental audits, IPC, health & safety, and risk register updates
* Manage incident reporting and patient feedback
* Assist with recruitment and training programme development
Protocol & Policy Development
* Collaborate with Radiologists to maintain and improve imaging protocols
* Review and update departmental policies and procedures
* Ensure compliance with radiation protection standards
Qualifications
* HCPC registered Radiographer with substantial clinical experience
* Proven leadership and team management skills
* Strong understanding of imaging modalities and service delivery
* Excellent communication and organisational abilities
* Commitment to quality improvement and patient‑centred care
