GSL Education are currently recruiting for a dedicated and compassionate SEND Teaching Assistant (TA) to work in schools across Nottingham and surrounding areas. This is a rewarding role ideal for someone with experience supporting pupils with additional needs in an inclusive and nurturing environment. Role Overview: As a SEND TA, you’ll work closely with pupils with a range of needs including autism, learning difficulties, and behavioural challenges. You will assist in lessons, provide tailored one-to-one or small group support, and help create a safe and supportive learning space. Responsibilities as SEND TA: Support pupils with Special Educational Needs in their academic and personal development. Provide one-to-one or small group assistance, adapting resources and activities to individual needs. Help manage behaviour and promote a calm, inclusive classroom environment. Work closely with teachers and the SENCO to implement tailored support plans. Monitor and report on pupil progress and wellbeing to the wider support team. Requirements for SEND TA: Experience supporting children or young people with special educational needs. A calm, patient, and empathetic approach. Strong communication and teamwork skills. An Enhanced DBS on the Update Service (or willingness to apply). A full CV covering the last 10 years with any gaps explained.
