We are looking for a motivated Head Coach to join Edinburgh Women. You'll lead our Celtic Challenge campaign, while playing a central role in shaping the wider pathway for women's rugby in Scotland. You'll drive growth, raise standards, and prepare the programme for an exciting new era of competition.
What you will be doing:
* Lead and shape the programme: own the planning, culture, and operational delivery of a high-performance environment aligned to the national framework
* Drive the game model: direct coaching delivery, match preparation, and training design built around national playing principles
* Develop every player: oversee individual development plans, annual playing plans, and ongoing performance reviews that support each athlete's progression
*
Connect the system: collaborate across the pathway, contribute to central and national academy delivery, and build strong relationships with clubs, universities, and national teams
What we’re looking for:
* Proven high-performance coaching experience: minimum 5 years at national age-grade, professional, or equivalent elite level, ideally within women's rugby
* Experience running performance programmes: including IDP and APP processes, multidisciplinary team leadership, and ongoing player monitoring
* The ability to balance development with results: you know how to compete and win while keeping long-term athlete progression at the centre of everything
* Strong leadership and communication skills: with a track record of managing stakeholders, building trust, and holding a high-performance culture to clear standards
