Objekt is looking for a talented and hands-on Director / Editor to join our ambitious team. You will be the creative engine on set and in the edit suite, playing a pivotal role in crafting Objekt’s digital entertainment and YouTube format output.

The Role
We are looking for someone who is as comfortable running a fast-paced set as they are getting stuck into an edit. You will be instrumental in the delivery of best in class YouTube formats, while also having an opportunity to lend your eye to broader commercial and branded content.
Key Responsibilities:
* Take the lead on directing and editing our core YouTube formats, ensuring the pacing, energy, and retention mechanics are perfectly executed.
* Run highly efficient shoots. You must be happy and capable of shooting multiple episodes across a single, packed day when necessary.
* Work directly with high-profile creator talent. You know how to make them feel comfortable, get the best performance out of them, and adapt to their working styles.
* You know exactly how to create, spot, and capture genuinely entertaining, clippable moments on set.
* Work seamlessly with our producers and directly with clients to produce great work.
* Act as a central pillar of knowledge, assisting creatively across the business and supporting the wider team with your technical expertise.
About You:
* A proven track record directing and editing digital entertainment (specifically YouTube formats).
* Highly proficient in Adobe Premiere Pro. Additional skills in motion graphics or colour grading are a plus.
* Strong technical know-how on set. A solid understanding of cameras, lighting, and the general technical side required to make a shoot work..
* You don’t have an ego about getting stuck in. You’re agile, resourceful, and focused on the final output.
The Details:
* Contract: 2-3 month initial contract, with a view to extend.
* Rate: Depending on experience
* Location: When not on set / location, this is a full time office based role at our offices in Southwark.
