Overview
The role of the Pricing Analyst will significantly improve the business requirements to deliver pricing benefits and improve customers life cycle relationship with us. The post holder will be numerate, good with large and inconsistent datasets, applying their skills and knowledge to identify opportunities in pricing. The post holder must have excellent communication skills and produce models that both identify and track pricing benefits and ensure that Sales and Account Management are carrying these functions out. Use analysis tools to identify product, service and customer pricing opportunities. Ensure we are passing on CPI / RPI and other cost drivers onto customers appropriately.
Responsibilities
* Ensuring compliance to Health and Safety and Standard Operating Procedures in the offices.
* Produce pricing analysis models across the whole of MES including Water, Asbestos, Engineering & Waste to drive opportunities for pricing improvements.
* Clearly identify pricing leakage and areas where pricing decisions have not been adhered to.
* Work closely with Account Management and Sales teams to ensure price changes are being tracked, monitored and actioned.
* Produce a league table of discounting to clearly show where margin erosion is taking place.
* Ensure that the price books clearly represent accurate base pricing and that margins are not being eroded.
* Monitor Sales and Account Management operations and trigger corrective actions.
* Report key metrics and improvements.
* Contribute to initiatives that improve customer targeting and profitability.
* Review periodic reports and adjust operations to better meet company goals.
Qualifications
* Minimum of 3 years' experience in a relevant similar role.
* Ideally experience of the water treatment market but not essential.
* Have a quality mindset, process driven and willing to challenge status quo.
* Ability to make change and put in new procedures and processes.
* A good understanding of financial transactions and the relevance your department will have on the month end results.
