Fife Speech and Language Therapy Service has a Health Care Support Worker post available within our Adult Learning Disability team based at Lynebank Hospital, Dunfermline. Under the supervision of registered Speech and Language Therapists, you will work with individuals with a learning disability, their families and carers as well as other professionals in the multidisciplinary team. You will also support the running of the service by preparing therapy resources and undertaking administrative tasks relating to clinical care. Experience of working with adults with a learning disability is essential, as is knowledge and understanding of the impact of communication support needs on an individual’s life experiences and quality of life. Experience working in teams is also required for this post and you must be able to demonstrate excellent interpersonal, time management and applied IT skills. You will be joining a dynamic service with a well developed peer facilitation / supervision model and a strong commitment to staff wellbeing and will be well supported by the small Speech and Language Therapy Team based at Lynebank Hospital.
