Key Responsibilities – Mechanical Maintenance Fitter
* Your new challenge will be providing effective and efficient planned, preventative and breakdown maintenance to minimise losses to production
* Ensure the continuous running of the production process by eliminating downtime through a safe and logical approach to fault finding and maintenance of equipment
* Planned and reactive maintenance to keep downtime to a minimum
* You'll work with conveyor systems, hydraulic and pneumatic equipment, and general mechanical fitting
* Fault-finding to basic welding
* Leading electrical and instrumentation, repair, and working with s CMMS
* Diagnosis, resolution, and elimination of root causes of mechanical engineering faults
* Implementation of minor equipment modifications in support of increased performance
* Could you complete all scheduled, planned corrective, reactive, and improvement maintenance as assigned?
* Contribute to the planning and implementation of allocated annual equipment overhauls.
Qualifications & Requirements – Mechanical Maintenance Engineer
* Apprentice trained or NVQ level 3 in a mechanical engineering discipline in maintenance engineering
* Manufacturing Industry experience, heavy, medium or FMCG environments considered.
* Knowledge of conveyor belts, drives, gearboxes couplings general mechanical equipment
* Knowledge of Hydraulic & Pneumatic systems is essential
* Routine Preventative Maintenance so an understanding of a PPM schedule
* Finding and fixing faults quickly and effectively
* Basic welding and fabrication skills advantageous
* Fitting, Fabricating and Welding experience preferred
* A proactive approach to fault finding, a commitment to continuous improvement and personal development
