You will work on:
1. Designing, building, running and monitoring Okta's production infrastructure
2. Responding to production incidents and determining how we can prevent them in the future
3. Triaging and troubleshooting complex production issues to ensure reliability and performance
4. Identifying and automating manual processes
5. Continuously evolving our tools and platform
6. Promoting and applying best practices for building scalable and reliable services across engineering
7. Developing and maintaining technical documentation, runbooks, and procedures
8. Supporting a 24x7 online environment as part of an on-call rotation
You are an ideal candidate if:
9. You are an early career SRE/DevOps looking for a challenge at a global market leading company
10. Interest in operating systems, containers and maintaining highly-reliable, mission-critical software at scale.
11. Ability to program in at least one programming language ( golang, Java, python)
12. Ability to administer a Linux operating system
13. Previous cybersecurity experience
14. Knowledge of RDBMS’, NoSQL databases, Containers or Application Servers (experience in one or more preferred)
15. Understanding of networking, encryption, authentication and authorization
16. Experience building and configuring services in the cloud AWS/GCP
17. Have experience with on-call production support of systems running in cloud services
Education and Training:
18. Computer Science (plus) or relevant experience
