Our client is a global compound business which is looking to add a Global Credit Manager to the team, supporting the business in optimising performance by identifying and providing credit information to effectively manage customer risk, improving accounts receivable levels, and providing input when required to accurately forecast business cash, whilst adhering to the DoA.
This position for a Global Credit Manager will be in charge of credit management and control for regions across the Americas, Europe and Asia, reporting directly to the Global Financial Controller. The role will be expected to define and review the credit risk strategy by establishing a matrix across sectors and countries as well as establishing financial risk. The Global Credit Manager will be in charge of the continual review, development and implementation of the global credit processes, policies, procedures and reporting. In addition, this person will be leading the function, ensuring it is fit for purpose and aligned with the goals of the business and compliant with legislation, business delegations and the credit policy. It will be expected that the Global Credit Manager will also be able to periodically perform other financial duties, projects and activities as required by the CFO and Financial Controller as well as using internal and external resources to provide guidance where needed to the Commercial and Board members on credit matters. The role will manage a team of 3 covering a global turnover of almost €1bn.
Candidates interested in this Global Credit Manager opportunity must have experience of setting and managing global customer risk, as the role will need to manage, via financial results, reviews and analysis to recommend and monitor credit lines to mitigate risk. The role requires candidates to understand a business P&L and to be able to work with teams both within the finance function and outside of it. This position will liaise with global entities and interact at a C-Suite level, therefore candidates must have experience of working in a global business, preferably privately owned with prior C-Suite level exposure. Ideally candidates will have completed a CICM or CICM (grad) qualification, and will possess strong financial, analytical and business acumen that translates to thinking commercially in support of continuous business process improvement. Prior knowledge of security instruments (LCs/Guarantees) and SAP experience is desirable.
