About the role
As Resort Safety Shift Manager, you will carry out tasks on shift to ensure the allocation of team is complete, maximizing positive guest experience in our venues. You will build and develop positive relationships with guests, support team members during shifts to manage workload, and provide feedback to Resort Safety Managers on areas for improvement. Additionally, you will review guest feedback to identify areas for enhancement.
You will conduct individual team member appraisals, coach, and support the team to ensure a highly trained and fulfilled workforce. Your role includes ensuring compliance with relevant legislation and company policies related to Fire, SIA, Licensing, and health & safety. You will also drive team selection, recruitment, retention, and focus on wellbeing.
This role predominantly involves night shifts, with occasional daytime work for training and recruitment. It covers a 5-day working week over 7 days, requiring flexibility. As with all roles at Butlin’s, adaptability and a guest-focused approach are essential.
About You
We seek an experienced leader from within a security or safety environment who can support the team in delivering excellent service. You should have experience in training and coaching teams in dynamic environments, with a focus on safety and quality. Confidence in directing and responding to various situations, motivating teams, and managing multiple priorities is crucial.
You must hold an SIA (Door Supervision) license, Level 2 Door Supervision Qualification, and First Aid Qualification. A driving license is preferred or willingness to obtain one.
