How will you make an impact?
1. Determining technical feasibility by evaluating requirements and analysis as well as proposed solutions.
2. Preparing and installs solutions by determining and designing system specifications, standards, and programming. Developing and implementing a global data privacy and protection strategy and framework that aligns with the company’s vision and values
3. Serving as a central focal point for all business units globally on the company's privacy and data protection program
4. Developing and reviewing data privacy and protection policies and procedures, such as data retention, data deletion, data security, data breach response and data subject rights across the organization
5. Advising and supporting business units and functions on privacy and data protection matters, such as data processing agreements, data subject rights requests, data breach notifications, and data protection impact assessments
6. Monitoring and ensuring continued compliance with privacy and data protection laws and regulations, such as GDPR, CCPA, LGPD, and others
7. Educating and training staff members on data privacy and protection principles, policies and procedures
8. Conducting regular data protection audits, assessments, and reviews to identify and mitigate risks and gaps
9. Serving as the main point of contact and liaison with privacy and data protection authorities, regulators, customers, and other stakeholders on data privacy and protection issues
10. Keeping abreast of the latest developments and trends in data protection and privacy
11. Implementing and maintaining ISO/IEC 27701, the international standard for privacy information management
12. Handling incidents involving personal data. Identifying, containing, investigating, and resolving any potential or actual breaches, as well as reporting and notifying relevant authorities and other third parties when necessary
Have you got what it takes?
13. A bachelor’s degree or higher, computer science, information security, law or a related field
14. At least 5 years of relevant experience in data protection, privacy, or information security
15. A solid understanding of privacy and data protection laws and regulations, including GDPR, CCPA, LGPD, and others
16. A strong knowledge of data protection best practices, tools, and technologies
17. Experience in implementing and maintaining ISO/IEC 27701, the international standard for privacy information management
18. Excellent communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills
19. A high level of integrity, professionalism, and confidentiality
20. A proactive, collaborative, and problem-solving attitude
You will have an advantage if you also have:
21. A certification or qualification in data protection, such as CIPP, CIPM, CIPT, CDPO, or equivalent
