The Accounting Team Leader will operate in the UK Shared Service Centre Department within the framework of the Company and Group accounting policies, procedures and internal controls.
Please note this role is currently offered on a 12m Fixed Term Contract basis.
Key Responsibilities
1. Ensure internal and external reporting deadlines are met on time and to the required level of quality
2. Accounts are always compliant with IFRS and/or local accounting standards
3. Co-ordinate the month-end close of the financial ledgers and the preparation of the financial statements for the assigned entities ensuring compliance with relevant accounting standards and present to CFO for signature
4. Ensure creation and posting of Journals entries and perform SAP month-end activities as per Month-end calendar
5. Ensure completion of Intercompany, Inventory and Financial Reporting to Group deadlines
6. Ensure completion of the monthly Balance Sheet reconciliations
7. Ensure performance and document monthly analysis of Balance Sheet and P&L for all in-scope companies, documenting and communicating points of significance or material movements to relevant stakeholders
8. Ensure presentation of the Balance Sheet(s) to Controllers on a periodic basis, highlighting and resolving accounting matters
