Quantity Surveyor – Groundworks & Civil Engineering

We are recruiting for an established Groundworks and Civil Engineering contractor working on both residential and commercial schemes across the South West. This role offers a varied workload covering pricing, procurement, and surveying, with the opportunity to be involved in projects from tender stage through to final account.
Key Responsibilities
1. Prepare detailed cost estimates and tender submissions.
2. Procure subcontractors and suppliers, including negotiating terms and managing contracts.
3. Measure and value works on-site, including variations.
4. Monitor project costs against budgets and provide regular reports.
5. Assist in the preparation of interim applications and final accounts.
6. Maintain close working relationships with site teams, clients, and supply chain partners.
7. Ensure compliance with contractual and commercial obligations.
Requirements
8. Proven experience as a Quantity Surveyor within groundworks, civil engineering, or a related construction sector.
9. Strong commercial awareness and negotiation skills.
10. Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
11. Proficient in measurement, cost reporting, and contract administration.
12. Full UK driving licence and willingness to travel to sites across the South West.
