Solutions Architect, Birmingham (Hybrid) up to 80k
I'm supporting a large, well established organisation in the professional services sector that is looking for an experienced Solutions Architect to help drive their modernisation and cloud‑led technology strategy. This role sits within a collaborative architecture function where you'll influence major projects and play a key part in shaping how technology supports the wider business.
What you'll be doing:
* Designing end‑to‑end technical solutions that support business goals and align with long‑term technology plans
* Working closely with stakeholders to clarify needs, explore solution options, and communicate architectural recommendations in a clear, accessible way
* Assessing current systems and identifying opportunities to modernise, simplify, or improve integration across platforms
* Providing architectural guidance to delivery teams and ensuring designs are implemented effectively throughout the project lifecycle
* Helping define integration approaches between new and existing systems, ensuring consistency and interoperability
* Advising on data, security and platform considerations to make sure solutions meet compliance and governance expectations
* Contributing to internal architecture standards and participating in broader discussions around future technology direction
* Staying informed on emerging tools and techniques, bringing forward new ideas that add value
Essential technical experience:
* Strong knowledge of Microsoft Azure (IaaS, PaaS) and cloud‑native design
* Experience working with enterprise integration patterns and API management
Practical experience with:
* Microsoft 365, Win365, Power Platform
* Strong knowledge of Microsoft Azure (IaaS, PaaS) and cloud‑native design principles.
* Integration tools/middleware
* Identity & Access Management
* AI related technologies
* Enterprise applications (document/case management, CRM, finance systems)
* Networking and infrastructure fundamentals
