HR Advisor

About The Role
We’re looking for a proactive, people‑focused HR Advisor to join our Central Functions HR team. As a visible and trusted partner to the business, you will play a key role in creating an engaging working environment and delivering high‑quality HR support across the employee lifecycle.
Working closely with the HR Business Partner, you’ll help embed HR best practice, support managers with day‑to‑day people matters, and contribute directly to our HR strategy, ensuring our culture is positive, inclusive, and aligned with Pilgrim’s Europe values.

Key Responsibilities
* Deliver a comprehensive and high‑quality generalist HR advisory service across Central Functions.
* Support and coach managers on HR processes, policies and people‑related matters.
* Guide and manage employee relations cases, including performance, absence, conduct and capability.
* Partner with managers to enhance employee engagement and strengthen the overall colleague experience.
* Contribute to HR projects, policy updates and continuous improvement initiatives.
* Support recruitment, onboarding, induction, and early‑stage retention.
* Maintain accurate HR data and produce reports that support decision‑making.
* Ensure compliance with employment law, company policies, and HR best practice.
* Champion our “Safety as a Condition” culture and promote a responsible working environment.
Key Deliverables
* Implementation of proactive plans to improve employee experience and engagement.
* Delivery of actions that support functional and HR KPIs.
* Absence levels maintained within target.
* Achievement of 30‑day new‑starter retention targets.
* Staff turnover maintained within agreed levels.
* Compliance training completed within required timeframes.
* Consistent role‑modelling of safety behaviours and expectations.
Qualifications & Experience
* CIPD Level 5 (or working towards) or equivalent HR qualification.
* Proven experience in a generalist HR role, with strong advisory skills.
* Solid working knowledge of UK employment legislation and its practical application.
* Experience managing employee relations cases and coaching managers.
* Proficiency with HR systems and confidence analysing data.
* Experience working in fast‑paced, operational or corporate environments (FMCG, manufacturing or similar desirable).
* Strong understanding of HR policies, procedures and best practice.
* Excellent communication, influencing and stakeholder‑management skills.
* Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information professionally.
