Multi-skilled Trade Operative - Plasterer

We are seeking a skilled and reliable Plasterer to join our Housing Repairs team within South Holland District Councils Housing Department. The role is fixed term for 12 months.
The Housing Repairs service is responsible for the ongoing maintenance, repairs and refurbishment of the councils housing stock, which consists of general and sheltered housing, containing flats, bungalows and houses. Working as a valuable member of the daytime team, the role also requires participation on the emergency out of hours rota, for which additional standby and call-out pay is awarded above the standard annual salary.
You will be responsible for carrying out a wide range of plastering and trowel trade tasks in occupied and void properties, ensuring high standards of workmanship and customer satisfaction.
Your role is crucial in maintaining the quality of our social housing and ensuring tenant satisfaction.
Carry out plastering and flooring works to the Council's housing stock and premises, including full re-skims, patch repairs, rendering, self-levelling, tiling and making good after other trades.
Maintain accurate communication with the office team regarding job progress, issues encountered, and completion status.
Translate technical plastering issues into clear, understandable information for non-technical staff to support decision-making.
NVQ Level 2 Plastering or equivalent time served.
Proven experience in domestic or social housing maintenance.
Full UK driving licence (company van provided).
