Job Title: Design Manager

We are currently working with a rapidly expanding, London-based group dedicated to creating high-end family members' clubs and nurseries, who are seeking to make a Design Manager appointment to lead the design process for their upcoming projects.
The Role: We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Design Manager to lead the design process and management throughout the full project lifecycle. This is a crucial client-side role where you will be responsible for taking projects from early concept stages through to completion.
Project values for our developments typically range from £5m to £15m. While the business has previously self-built, they are moving towards the appointment of a Main Contractor for the construction of future facilities.
Key Responsibilities:
* Lead the design process for new club and nursery developments, from initial concept through to detailed design and construction.
* Develop comprehensive design briefs, ensuring alignment with brand vision, operational requirements, and budget constraints.
* Manage external consultants including architects, interior designers, and specialist suppliers.
* Oversee spatial planning and ensure designs prioritize functionality and the user experience for both children and adults.
* Ensure all designs comply with relevant building regulations, health and safety standards, and specific operational requirements
* Manage design budgets and timelines, ensuring efficient project delivery.
* Collaborate effectively with internal teams (operations, marketing, finance) and external stakeholders.
About You: You will be an experienced Design Manager with a proven track record in leading complex projects, ideally within the hospitality, leisure, or premium residential sectors. This role would suit somebody with previous experience managing fit out and/or refurbishment schemes.
