Role Overview
This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced CNC Turner / CNC Machinist to join the late-shift team, programming, setting and operating modern CNC lathes with live tooling.
The role focuses on CNC Turning of small-to-medium batch components to fine tolerances, working with challenging materials and complex engineering drawings. Experience with Fanuc-controlled CNC lathes is essential, with CMZ MillTurn experience highly desirable.
Key Responsibilities
* Program, set and operate CNC lathes with live tooling
* Carry out high-precision CNC Turning operations to tight tolerances
* Machine materials including aluminium, stainless steel, titanium, Inconel and bronze
* Produce batch sizes typically ranging from 5 to 100 components
* Read and interpret engineering drawings accurately
* Maintain high standards of quality and consistency throughout production
* Communicate effectively with fellow CNC Machinists to support workflow and efficiency
Candidate Profile
* Proven experience as a CNC Turner / CNC Machinist
* Strong background in CNC Machining and CNC Turning
* Confident programming, setting and operating CNC lathes
* Fanuc control experience essential
* CMZ MillTurn experience desirable
* CAD/CAM knowledge advantageous but not essential
* Able to work independently on a late shift
* Quality-focused with excellent attention to detail
Hours of Work
* Monday to Thursday: 16:00 – 02:00
* Up to £20.00 per hour (DOE)
* 25% late shift premium
* Overtime paid at x1.5
