As an experienced and autonomous practitioner, the post holder will provide a highly specialist adult Speech and Language Therapy (SLT) service for acute and community clients across Harrogate & Rural district and Hambleton & Richmondshire districts, focusing on complex swallowing needs. The role includes offering consultative specialist advice, training, and support for SLTs in dysphagia, as well as overseeing and evaluating instrumental services such as videofluoroscopy and Fibre-optic Endoscopic Evaluation of Swallowing (FEES).
This post is part of the triumvirate team (Adult SLT Principal, SLT Harrogate Team Lead, and Service Manager) responsible for leading and managing the adult SLT service within the Planned, Surgical & Children’s Care directorate. The team is accountable for quality, performance, and financial delivery of the service.
