ROLE: Cluster Financial Controller

LOCATION: Liverpool
Fraser Hospitality are looking for a Cluster Financial Controller. Based from our Liverpool Site, you will be responsible for the day-to-day accounting, financial operations and provides support to operational managers across the properties. You will also be responsible for producing and submitting accurate monthly P&Ls and Balance Sheets for the hotels in-line with the tight monthly deadlines.
What you will be doing:
1. Day to day financial reporting and operational duties
2. Ensure compliance with internal policies & procedures
3. Review of cash banking & safeguarding of cash floats in operation
4. Producing bank reconciliations and bank clearing
5. Support junior Finance staff within the hotel
6. Coordinate accounts payable and accounts receivable functions
7. Preparation of monthly financial statements, forecasting and commentary on variance
8. Monthly balance sheet reconciliation and preparation of audit pack
9. Analyse & interpret of monthly results, key performance indicators and cost control by department.
10. Assist Senior Management Accountant and General Managers with annual budgets
11. Prepare P&L, Balance Sheet and Cash Flow reports for corporate reporting to strict deadlines
12. Assist with property audit – internal and external, and other consultants and bank
13. Work with other finance team and share best practices
14. Prepare, submit and settle VAT returns and City tax returns within required deadline
What we're looking for:
15. This role is suitable for a part qualified accountant
16. Demonstrable experience in financial management experience with background in hospitality or service-based industry an advantage
17. Proven capability to communicate Financial Information to various stakeholders, especially with non-financial background
18. An eye for detail and the ability to identify errors and offer workable solutions
19. Strong systems skills with a mindset of continuous improvement
20. Personable, positive, dynamic professional who works flexibly and collaboratively to achieve deadlines, with “a can get job” done attitude
