Job Description
As the Head of Payroll Operations you will liaise with Auditors, Internal and External, ensuring legislation changes are applied as required within ISS UK.
Key Responsibilities
• Develop and maintain the Control & Compliance strategy for the entire UK Payroll function.
• Develop and maintain legislative compliance within ISS UK Payroll to ensure updates and changes are incorporated into the business process, understood by all relevant teams and checked to ensure compliance.
• Working with ISS Risk teams ensure that the Payroll RACM (Risk and Controls Matrix) is maintained and followed within the Payroll Organisation.
• Working with the Internal and External Audit teams to ensure that Payroll & Pensions are able to comply with audit requests accurately and timely.
• Being the overall owner for audit preparation and notification to the BAU Ops teams, to ensure audits are successfully managed.
• Working with the Heads of Payroll & Pensions to develop training plans and training materials to ensure teams can be developed and have access to latest information.
Professional and Personal Competencies/Qualifications
• 10+ years payroll experience and 3 years team management experience
• SOX or Equivalent experience
• 3 years Audit Experience (Large Orgs 2000 + employees)
• CIPP (Qualified or by experience)
• Experience of working with both salaried and fortnightly payrolls
• Working in large organisations with a focus on managing and developing controls and audit.
• Experience of rolling out control / compliance framework across payroll and finance (within payroll) processes to large teams
