Technical Support Officer - Mechanical
37 hours per week
Bridgend County Borough Council is transforming how it manages its property estate. We manage a diverse property portfolio, from schools to industrial estates and from care homes to market stalls, using a Corporate Landlord approach that brings together strategic property management and facilities management teams.
We are looking for a Project manager - Mechanical to join our Corporate Landlord team, delivering reactive and planned maintenance across the Council’s property portfolio on time, to cost and to the client’s satisfaction. The successful candidate will champion innovative decarbonisation approaches as the team develops new skills to help the Council reduce its carbon footprint.
Responsibilities
* Deliver reactive and planned maintenance works on time, within budget, and to required quality standards.
* Support and develop mechanical projects within the Council’s property portfolio, contributing to decarbonisation and energy efficiency initiatives.
* Work within the Corporate Landlord framework to coordinate with facilities management colleagues and external contractors.
Qualifications and requirements
* A valid driving licence is a requirement for this post.
* Standby duties and emergency response are a requirement of this post.
* The council’s Hybrid Working Policy applies to this post, providing a framework for working hours between home and office.
