We are currently seeking a dedicated and proactive Senior Carer to join our growing team. This is a hybrid role, offering a rewarding balance of hands-on care and office-based coordination responsibilities. It’s an ideal opportunity for an experienced carer looking to progress into a leadership role or someone already in a senior position looking for a fresh challenge. Role Overview As a Senior Carer, you will split your time between field and office duties, supporting both our clients and care staff. You will work closely with the Care Coordinator and Registered Manager to ensure that care is delivered safely, consistently, and in line with regulatory standards. Key ResponsibilitiesField-Based Duties Carry out initial care needs and risk assessments. Perform quality spot checks and routine reviews of care delivery. Mentor and support carers, including on-the-job training and formal supervisions. Support with care worker introductions and transitions. Ensure client dignity, safety, and independence are always upheld. Maintain accurate, confidential records and report concerns appropriately. Respond to emergency or unplanned client needs when necessary. Office-Based Duties Assist in preparing and updating care plans and documentation. Support with rota planning, coordination, and last-minute cover. Monitor the performance and wellbeing of the care team. Assist in the recruitment, onboarding, and training of new staff. Act as a point of contact for families, professionals, and care staff. Contribute to audits, inspections, and compliance reporting. Participate in the out-of-hours on-call rota when required. What We’re Looking ForEssential At least 1 year of domiciliary or community care experience. Sound understanding of person-centred care and CQC regulations. Good communication, problem-solving, and organisational skills. IT literate and comfortable with care management systems. Full UK driving licence and access to a vehicle. Desirable NVQ/QCF Level 3 in Health & Social Care (or working towards). Previous experience in a supervisory or team-leading role. Knowledge of care planning, medication administration, or auditing.
