As part of the European Centre of Excellence e‑Store team, you will be instrumental in driving increased revenue and improved contribution as well as improving the customer experience across all European sites. Our e‑Store is now the 2nd largest store in Europe and is also an important brand touchpoint for most customer journeys!
Our team aims are:
* To consult, advise and collaborate with senior team members in all subsidiaries across Europe (16 subsidiaries and 31 countries) on all aspects of e‑commerce.
* To create actionable business plans to support e‑store growth across the entire product range (Mobile/IT, TV/AV, Monitors and Home Appliances).
* To create cross‑functional and cross‑divisional task forces to assist in the delivery and optimisation of the commercial plans through best‑in‑class guidance.
* To drive change and innovation in markets by piloting and funding initiatives to deliver continuous improvement across all platforms (D2C, EPP, SMB, App, e‑Promoter, Digital Media and CRM).
* To co‑ordinate shared learning across Europe to capitalize on winning opportunities to accelerate e‑store sales growth in line with targets.
This role reports into the Head of Commercial Trading and will play a pivotal role in the growth of e‑store across Europe. E‑store is a key focus for senior management and this role will be highly visible with regular interactions at a senior level. You will work within a matrix structure with support from cross‑functional teams.
Role and Responsibilities
To enable our ambition, we have created a European D2C RPM team to work with markets and cross‑functional partners to develop strategies to fuel faster growth. You will be expected to appraise and challenge the commercial e‑store plans across Europe, evaluating performance, challenging forecasts and creating and developing intervention programs to address any areas of deviation versus targets.
Key tasks are as follows:
* Deep dive subsidiary eStore performance on a weekly basis. Understand KPIs, impact on overall eStore revenue across all store fronts (S.com, EPP, Shop App and ePromoter).
* Host weekly calls with Subsidiary Commercial leads across all shop fronts to gain context on eStore performance, deep dive into key issues and agree actions to mitigate any declines in performance or achievement of key targets.
* Document all actions, expected outcomes, delivery dates. Follow up with Subsidiary to monitor action progress to completion and expected uplift in performance. Refine actions if expected outcome not achieved.
* Produce a weekly report detailing Subsidiary performance, identifying root cause of any issues and action taken to remedy. Provide detailed context for Subsidiary performance. Feed into weekly Senior Leadership Team update.
* Produce Monthly reports wrapping up Subsidiary performance with detailed contextual insights on performance. Seek alignment with Subsidiaries and deliver to agreed deadlines.
* Host Quarterly Business Reviews with Subsidiaries. Review forecast performance against targets, gain contextual insights into key challenges and mitigation factors, and review enhancement roadmap. Ensure robust actions are in place to deliver the expected in‑quarter targets. Deliver a commercial waterfall detailing revenue build‑back plans with agreed actions. Review on a weekly basis to ensure Subsidiaries are on track to deliver.
* Support Subsidiaries to prepare for key campaigns and monitor progress. Ensure robust mitigation plans are in place to overcome any misses to agreed targets.
* Provide detailed reports on Subsidiary eStore performance with insights, root cause and mitigation plans to support EO Presidents visits to Subsidiaries.
* Build strong working relationships with eStore Head of Department (HOD) and key people in charge (PICs) within your designated Subsidiaries.
* Work cross‑functionally across EO teams; within EO Marketing and RPM (ETO, EDAO, EVO).
* Travel to your designated Subsidiaries at least once per quarter or as the business requires.
What we need for this role
To be successful, you will possess the following skills and attributes:
* Hands‑on international eCommerce experience in a senior online trading role for a well‑known brand or retailer delivering significant e‑Store sales. 5+ years.
* Able to demonstrate significant eCommerce sales growth/performance turnaround, through data‑driven insights and decision‑making.
* Confident working in a matrix organization structure and be able to influence senior collaborators with varying degrees of eCommerce knowledge.
* Strong communication and presentation skills with the ability to simplify problems and solutions to suit different audiences.
* You will possess in‑depth knowledge and experience in the following areas:
o End to end eCommerce trading
o Optimising eCommerce trading plans
o Multi‑channel strategies (D2C, SMB, Shop App, EPP)
o Digital marketing strategies including paid search, affiliate, paid social, etc.
o CRM
o Merchandising & Customer Journey
o Web Analytics
o Sales Forecasting
o CRO Tools & strategies
