Overview
Our client, the world’s leading FM provider, is looking for an Electrical Shift Engineer to join a team of eight shift engineers at a large data centre in Romford, East London. The site, opened in 2009, hosts an array of equipment including UPS systems, generators, chillers and CRAC units. The role involves supporting “HVAP” operations and maintaining high standards of service across the facility.
Responsibilities
* Provide reactive and proactive maintenance services.
* Deliver multi‑skilled maintenance across electrical and mechanical disciplines.
* Ensure all mechanical and electrical equipment operates at optimum performance.
* Meet all key performance indicators.
* Carry out modifications and installations as required.
* Liaise with sub‑contractors and external suppliers.
* Maintain ownership and upkeep of tools and equipment.
* Communicate regularly with client and management.
Qualifications
* Minimum NVQ or City & Guilds Level 2 qualification in Electrical Engineering.
* 18th Edition.
* HVAP (desirable but not essential).
* Previous critical experience (desirable but not essential).
* Previous experience working within FM.
* Client‑facing and well presented.
