Overview
We are seeking a skilled and experienced Wireman/Fitter to join our team, working across substations primarily within the NGED region. Location: various sites across the NGED region. Job Type: Full-Time. Salary: Competitive + benefits + company van.
Responsibilities
* Carry out wiring, fitting, and earthing work on NGED substations
* Follow all safety procedures, policies, and work instructions on-site
* Undertake training to obtain PTW (Permit to Work) and LOA (Limitation of Access) authorisations
* Maintain accurate documentation and work records
* Collaborate with colleagues and contractors to ensure timely and safe project delivery
Requirements
* Proven experience as a Wireman or Fitter, ideally in substations or similar environments
* Strong knowledge of electrical wiring and earthing systems
* Comfortable working at heights and in confined spaces
* Strong communication and teamwork skills
* Flexible and adaptable to changing priorities and site conditions
Desirable Qualifications
* City & Guilds 2360 or equivalent electrical qualification
* SSSTS (Site Supervisor Safety Training Scheme)
* IPAF (Powered Access) Certification
* Telehandler Operator Training
* First Aid at Work Certification
