Our General
Cleaner role:
We’re
looking for a reliable and responsible General Cleaner with excellent time
management skills to care for the first floor of our inviting, calm, and
relaxing hotel, helping guests and staff start their day feeling comfortable
and at ease.
Reporting
to our Head Housekeeper, you’ll be cleaning our Rampsbeck and Living Space
restaurants and ensuring they meet our high standards of cleanliness and
presentation before breakfast service starts at 7:30am.
You’ll
also polish, dust, and clean floors (as well as high and low surfaces and ceilings),
ensuring our library, reception, and guest-facing areas are welcoming and
well-presented. You’ll also maintain our toilets, restocking supplies as
needed.
The
expected working hours for this position are 6am - 12pm, with flexibility
available, making it suitable for part-time arrangements as well.
As our
General Cleaner you’ll be:
* Cleaning
and caring for guest-facing areas, including our restaurants, library,
reception, corridors, bars, and toilet areas.
* Dusting,
polishing, mopping, hoovering, and cleaning high and low surfaces,
including internal windows.
* Preparing
restaurants before breakfast, making sure they are welcoming and ready for
guests.
* Maintaining
back-of-house areas as needed to keep the hotel running smoothly.
* Restocking
supplies in public areas and toilets so that everything feels comfortable
and well-prepared.
* Following
health and safety procedures, including manual handling, COSHH, and fire
safety.
* Taking
pride in your work and helping to create a calm, inviting space for both
guests and colleagues.
The skills you’ll be sharing with us:
* Previous experience within Housekeeping or a
customer service-focused environment
* Excellent time management and organisational
skills
* Strong attention to detail
* Ability to work unsupervised and use own
initiative
* A positive team player with good communication
skills
* Responsible, hardworking, and well-presented
* Reasonable standard of English
