This role is site-focused, supporting customers primarily across the North East, with office-based work when not on customer sites. Controls Project Engineer - The Role: You’ll be responsible for delivering controls projects from concept through to commissioning, with a strong focus on upgrading legacy systems and designing modern Siemens-based solutions from scratch. Upgrading older Siemens and Rockwell-based systems to Siemens S7-1500 with integrated Siemens safety Designing and programming Siemens TIA Portal systems Working on large-scale process equipment including: Steel processing systems Test cells Plastic film winding Drive winders, tensioners, power cells Cable and wire winding machinery Site commissioning, fault finding, and customer support Projects are varied, hands-on, and technically challenging — ideal for someone who enjoys seeing a system through end-to-end.
