SALARY: £50,000 - £56,000 Basic (£65,000+ Achievable with Overtime & Call Out)
SHIFT: Rotating Double Days & Weekend Cover (6am-2pm / 2pm-10pm / 8am-4pm)
Job Role of the Electrical Maintenance Engineer A fantastic opportunity has arisen for an Electrical Maintenance Engineer to join a long-established manufacturing business that continues to invest heavily into its sites, equipment and engineering function. This is a business where engineers are encouraged to get involved in far more than reactive maintenance, with ongoing investment projects, equipment upgrades and site improvements creating a varied and engaging engineering environment.
The Electrical Maintenance Engineer will be responsible for electrical fault finding, planned preventative maintenance and breakdown response across a range of manufacturing equipment. Alongside day-to-day maintenance activities, engineers are actively involved in installations, continuous improvement projects and supporting the wider engineering team to drive reliability across multiple sites.
This role would suit an Electrical Maintenance Engineer who enjoys being hands-on, solving problems and taking ownership of their work. The successful candidate will be joining a close-knit engineering team where collaboration, knowledge sharing and a proactive approach are highly valued.
Sector – Factory Maintenance Non-Negotiable Requirements of the Electrical Maintenance Engineer Level 3 Electrical Engineering Qualification.
Electrical maintenance experience within a manufacturing environment.
Strong electrical fault-finding experience.
Full UK Driving Licence.
Must be able to participate in the call out rota.
Must live within a commutable distance of Aston, Cheshire due to call out requirements.
Essential Requirements for the Electrical Maintenance Engineer Experience carrying out planned, preventative and reactive maintenance.
Strong electrical fault-finding ability on industrial manufacturing equipment.
Experience working on motors, drives, contactors, sensors and control systems.
PLC fault-finding experience.
Experience working within a fast-paced manufacturing environment.
Ability to work effectively as part of a team.
Requirements for the Electrical Maintenance Engineer Experience working with Siemens, Mitsubishi or Allen Bradley PLC controlled equipment.
17th or 18th Edition Electrical Regulations.
Experience supporting engineering projects and continuous improvement activities.
Strong problem-solving skills and a proactive approach to maintenance.
Willingness to support apprentices and less experienced engineers where required.
Desirable Requirements for the Electrical Maintenance Engineer Apprentice trained engineer.
Experience within food, FMCG, process or heavy manufacturing environments.
Experience with electrical installations and equipment upgrades.
Experience working within a multi-site manufacturing operation.
The Electrical Maintenance Engineer will benefit from: Basic salary of £50,000 - £56,000.
Realistic earnings of £65,000+ through overtime and call out.
