A key client of ours is looking for a Linux System Administrator for a long term hybrid project in Cambridge.
Contract Duration: 9-month initial contract (very possible extension)
Location: Cambridge, Hybrid (3 days on site per week)
Inside IR35
40 hours a week / Full-time
* Experience running and maintaining on-premise data centres
* Strong experience with Linux (Ubuntu / Centos)
* Experience enterprise storage including ISCSI and SAN technology
* Prior experience using automation tools (Ansible, Foreman etc)
* Knowledge of IP networking, DNS, and firewalling
* Experience with Python, shell scripts and command-line tools
* Knowledge of containerisation and related orchestration technologies
* Demonstrable experience of remediation projects, ideally within a PCI-DSS certified environment.
* Strong verbal & written communication skills and natural willingness to collaborate across teams and organisations.
* Naturally able & productive with ITSM tools such as Jira, ServiceNow etc.
Great to haves:
* Good knowledge of the various services and capabilities of cloud computing platforms; Ideally AWS
* Hyper-V, Microsoft AD, AAD & VMWare experience
* Experience maintaining OpenStack
* Experience maintaining build system, source code management, TeamCity and GitLab services
* Bachelor’s degree in a related field (Computer Science preferred) or equivalent experience
