Murphy is recruiting for a Assistant Welding Engineer to work with Energy at our Leeds facility supporting the day-to-day fabrication and site welding activities as required.

A day in the life of a Murphy Assistant Welding Engineer
Control of documentation associated with weld procedure specifications, qualifications, records and welder qualifications
Review project welding specifications
Run weld procedures at Leeds and on-site
Identify mechanical testing requirements for WPQR's and WQT’s
Aid in the completion of WPQR's and WQT certificates
Ensuring company management procedures are carried out
Manage Project welding procedure qualification activities and maintain weld procedure and welder qualification registers
Monitor production welding activities and trouble shoot any potential issues
Attend regular operations and safety meetings as required.
Prepare fabrication inspection and test plans tailored to the specific requirements of each project.
Support the facility in maintaining compliance with BS EN ISO 3834-2 Certification
