Deputy Credit Manager

With a proven track record of managing accounts receivable with a particular focus on credit andmercial risk, your role is to provide leadership, direction and training to your team and the wider region. Reporting to the Regional Credit Manager, you will be key to thepany's ongoing growth and expansion, which secures their position as market leaders. You will support with leadership, direction and development of an office-based team of credit personnel, providing support and guidance as well as daily and weekly collection reports and statistical information for the wider region.
You will be accountable for maintaining and driving team target objectives to deliver outstanding results, appraising and analysing individual performances to ensure that the team reach their full potential!
Working closely with the Regional Manager and your team, you will support adherence to a well-structured risk management policy whilst promoting exceptional customer relationships. You will report to and meet regularly with senior directors across the business.
Your role will see you as a highly visible member of the management team; you will spend some time out and about in the region, supporting in this highlymercial environment, acting as the point of escalation relating to the credit function, and resolving account disputes to minimise aged debt and improve proficiency.
A CICM accreditation would certainly be desirable for this role, but it is no substitute for experience and I would expect all applicants to have a CV which prominently features team leader or credit manager roles in medium/large organisations with a number of direct reports.
