Location: City of London, onsite 3 days per week
We’re supporting a well-known brand through a major digital transformation and are looking for an Engineering Manager with a strong .NET / C# and Azure background to lead a core product engineering team.
This role sits at the centre of a globally scaled mobile and backend platform, with responsibility for delivery, people leadership, and technical direction. This is not a hands-on coding role, but deep technical credibility is essential.
The role:
* Lead and develop a team of Software Engineers
* Own delivery for a .NET and Azure-hosted services supporting a mobile app
* Guide architecture, quality, reliability, and security decisions
* Work closely with Product, Design and senior stakeholders
Must-have experience:
* Engineering Manager background within .NET / C# environments
* Strong experience with Azure (APIs, CI/CD, cloud architecture)
* 8+ years in software engineering with 3+ years in people management
* Proven delivery of product or mobile-backed platforms
* Comfortable leading engineers rather than coding day-to-day
* Experience working with distributed or third-party teams
Nice to haves:
* Experience scaling platforms internationally
* Exposure to modern DevOps, automated testing, and cloud-first delivery
