Nine Twenty Engineering & Manufacturing are continuing their partnership with a leading process manufacturing client on the Isle of Skye, supporting the recruitment of a Maintenance Electrician to join their high-performing, multi-skilled engineering team.
This is a fantastic opportunity to join a cutting-edge process facility, incorporating robotics, PLCs, and automated machinery - ideal for someone with solid electrical training but who can bring with them some hands on mechanical knowledge.
The Role:
* Perform scheduled, planned and reactive maintenance tasks to minimise downtime and ensure plant efficiency.
* Carry out fault diagnosis on machinery, control systems, and automation equipment — acting quickly and safely, sometimes as a lone worker.
* Maintain a high standard of cleanliness and organisation in engineering workshops and shared areas.
* Always adhere to site safety, environmental and operational procedures, leaving work areas in an equal or better state than found.
* Support the development of engineering documentation, including SOPs, safe systems of work, and maintenance reports — highlighting improvements where needed.
* Actively contribute to the site’s continuous improvement and quality culture by bringing forward ideas and helping implement long-term solutions.
Experienced required:
* Time-served Electrician or equivalent recognised electrical qualification.
* Comfortable working within a high-volume, automated manufacturing environment.
* Strong problem-solving skills with the ability to work independently and as part of a team.
* A proactive, tidy, and safety-conscious approach to maintenance and record-keeping.
What’s On Offer:
* Salary up to £43,702.05
* Call-Out: £52/night
* Overtime Rates: x1.5 (Weekdays) / x2 (Weekends)
* Shift Pattern: Structured 7-week rota with ~29 call-out days per year (great work-life balance)
