Job Title: Electrical Design Engineer
Location: Greater Manchester
Salary: £37,500 - £41,000 per annum + bonus
Shifts : Mon- Thurs 08:00- 16:30, Friday 08:00- 12:30

Working in the design department and reporting to the R&D Manager, you will be responsible for providing single and 3 phase power distribution design solutions.

As the Electrical Design Engineer, your duties will be:
* To produce and modify 2D 3D component drawings models and assemblies using 3D modelling software (Creo and/or Solid Works)
* To work within the PLM guidelines, supporting new products from the concept stage through to sales release.
* To work closely with suppliers (UK and non-UK based).
* To work closely with the Product Managers, Production Engineering, Estimating, Custom Factory Build, Laboratory and Procurement departments to develop cost effective and compliant design for manufacture solutions.
* To deliver multiple R&D projects in a timely manner following best project management practices.
* Creating, structuring, and maintaining SAP master data records
The ideal Electrical Design Engineer will hold the following skills and experiences:
* HNC (or equivalent) in a Mechanical or Electrical Engineering discipline.
* Strong Mechanical and/or Electrical engineering background
* Experience with sheet metal design is ideal.
* 3D CAD certification
* Proficient in 3D modelling software (e.g. Creo and/or Solid Works).
* Experience in single and/or 3 phase power distribution system design.
* A positive, pro-active attitude with good interpersonal skills.
* Excellent attention to detail
