We are on the lookout for a talented Sous Chef who is looking to take that next step in their hospitality career.
You would be part of our opening team at Pattersons Newcastle, which will be opening in the brand new flagship STACK site in the historic Worswick Chambers
Pattersons is an independent company, born in Liverpool over a decade ago and now established across the North West. Our passion is fried chicken. Our ethos is fresh produce & homemade recipes prepared and cooked to highest standard.
This role is ideal for someone in a similar role, who is ambitious to grow into a role of more responsibility, or an experienced chef ready to learn the managerial side. We have a proven track record of developing sous chefs into site managers.
Our menu updates regularly and we run monthly specials so there is a lot of scope for input and creativity.
The ideal candidate will possess a full understanding of food preparation, presentation and safety. Attention to detail and strict cleanliness standards are key.
Level 2 Food Hygiene is necessary. Level 3 is desirable
As a Sous Chef, you will play an extremely important role in ensuring kitchen operations flow efficiently. Your creativity and professionalism will contribute to the overall success of our brand
Duties
* Work towards and help achieve all asigned KPI targets
* Learn from the Pattersons Operations team on our Standard Operating Procedures
* Uphold consistency of the Pattersons brand - all recipes, specs and cooking procedures should be maintained
* Ensure compliance with food safety regulations and maintain cleanliness in the kitchen at all times.
* Provide ideas for season & monthly specials, and new menus
* Complete all Trail compliance daily
* Manage inventory effectively
* Assist in the planning of special events and catering services as required.
Qualifications
* Proven experience as a chef or in a similar culinary role within a restaurant or hospitality setting for minimum 2 years
* Experience as a Sous or similar level is desirable
* Great knowledge of food safety practices and regulations.
* Exceptional culinary skills with creativity in menu development and presentation.
* Good communication skills, both verbal and written, to effectively interact with staff and customers.
* Ability to work under pressure in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail.
* A passion for helping others, with a commitment to delivering outstanding service.
* Food Hygiene certification Level 2 minimum
