A Snapshot of Your Day
As a Delivery Team Leader, you will lead a team of MRPC Buyers responsible for creating, maintaining, and communicating delivery plans across the supply chain. You will act as the single point of contact to the wider business, providing clear insight into delivery performance and the ability to meet customer and business commitments. Your day will involve balancing demand changes, supplier performance, and team priorities to ensure the master production plan is achieved.
How You’ll Make an Impact
1. Lead and manage a team responsible for committed delivery planning in line with the Sales and Operations Planning process.
2. Assess and communicate the impact of demand changes on customer and business requirements.
3. Ensure accurate maintenance of master and dynamic planning data to enable effective demand cascade through the supply chain.
4. Plan and manage inventory and stock usage across the supply chain, ensuring material is available at the right time and used in the correct sequence.
5. Ensure supplier delivery commitments are accurately reflected in SAP and manage adherence to schedule lines and exception messages.
6. Maintain strong process compliance through the consistent use of standard systems, reports, and planning tools.
7. Act as the primary operational interface with internal stakeholders, coordinating improvement activity across planning, inventory, subcontract services, delivery, and lead time.
8. Lead supplier business reviews, ensuring alignment to quality, cost, and delivery expectations, with appropriate functional support.
9. Manage and resolve delivery issues, shortages, and recovery plans, escalating risks and impacts where required.
10. Manage load and capacity constraints within the team that may impact delivery performance.
What You Bring
11. Experience in engineering, manufacturing, purchasing, logistics, or supply chain roles.
12. Strong working knowledge of production planning, materials control, and supply chain processes.
13. Experience leading teams, with the ability to coach, develop, and motivate others.
14. Understanding of quality systems, inventory control, and IT systems.
15. Excellent communication skills, with a proactive and robust approach to problem solving.
16. Ability to work effectively with internal stakeholders and customers.
17. Demonstrated commitment to teamwork and continuous improvement.
18. Willingness to take ownership of personal development.
19. Good working knowledge of SAP or similar ERP systems.
20. Experience in supplier relationship management, scheduling, and load and capacity planning.
