The role
We are looking to offer someone the opportunity to become an Assistant Project Manager at East Midlands Airport, managing the Capital Delivery Projects across the site.
You will work within the Capital Delivery team, supporting the delivery team with safely and successfully delivering construction projects across the airport portfolio.
Key responsibilities will include:
* Supporting the delivery of projects within the Programme of works across the group, with a clear focus on Cost, Schedule, and Quality.
* Supporting in the planning, prioritisation, and management of multiple projects, ensuring delivery as promised with business case benefits realised.
* Supporting in ensuring the Programme of projects is undertaken with minimal acceptable disruption to Airport operations.
* Driving value and efficiency through robust contract management and identification of on-project opportunities.
* Supporting the delivery team in achieving in-year Capex expenditure for your portfolio of projects.
What will make you successful in the role?
We are keen to hear from individuals who are educated to degree level and have some experience in construction/engineering. However, we will consider bright, articulate, passionate people without relevant project management or construction experience.
You will definitely need:
* Strong communication skills
* Excellent attention to detail
* The ability to manage competing priorities
* Strong IT skills
We will support the successful candidate in gaining qualifications and training in Project Management on their journey to becoming a Project Manager.
