CAD Engineer | Maidstone Kent | Full Time | £41,000 £43,000 pa plus overtimeAre you looking to join a rapidly expanding and diverse engineering company in which to vary and progress your career?This is a great opportunity to be part of a team that benefits from a variation of customers and products which promotes cross sector innovation and solutions.Our client is a fast growing and successful engineering company with a full order book of projects throughout sectors such as Automotive, Aerospace, Packaging and Foundry Pattern Making.Are you the right person for the job?You should be proficient in Catia V5 or Solid Works 3d modelling and 2d drawing for engineering.Have a good knowledge of industrial design, conveyor systems, automation and production machinery.Experience with Automotive Engineering and machinery manufacture such as jigs and fixtures, mould tools and pressure lamination tooling would also be a benefit.And a background in the design of complex mechanisms and structures from scratch.What will your role as a CAD Engineer look like?Development of Aircraft interior Mock-ups and aircraft seats/suites for shows and presentations.Design and development of machines, mechanisms and processes for the production of automotive components, using sensors, pneumatics, linear guidance, Poke Yoke and right first time principals of part production.Creation of detailed 2D drawings and profiles and 3D models and schematics using either Catia or Solid Works software. Translating design concepts into manufacture, technical assembly and instruction packs.Collaboration with the engineering team to develop and modify existing designs and schematics, ensuring they meet project requirements, customer specifications, and standards as well as project budget.Review and validation of design drawings and models to ensure accuracy, consistency and compliance with industry standards and regulations. Identify and rectify design errors or discrepancies.Maintenance of organised records of design files and versions, including revisions, updates, and annotations.
Ensure that documentation is easily accessible and up to date for project teams.Assistance in identifying and resolving design-related issues and challenges that arise during the design and manufacturing process.What can you expect in return?Overtime at 1.65xPensionUp to 26 days a year of annual leaveThe company will also welcome the potential for development and progression with on-site training availableWhats next?
