The Victoria Maternity unit was built in 2012, with approximately 3000 births per year.
We are in a position to offer permanent contracts. There are part time and full time hours available for Health Care Support Workers to work within the maternity care settings.
These care settings primarily include Maternity Ward but can be rotational within other areas of care as required.
Maternity Ward 24 is a fast paced unit, with a 13 bed (maternal) capacity with a high turnover. This position requires the ability to work under pressure and stamina.
You will work as part of the multidisciplinary team, including medical and midwifery staff. This being to provide care to the woman and families of Fife. Duties include some aspects of patient facing clinical work with a significant emphasis on cleaning and making of beds to aid capacity and flow as well as maintaining infection prevention and control standards. There is also minimal aspects of food handling and oral fluid provision.

A requirement of this post is to become a member of the Protection of Vulnerable Groups (PVG) Scheme Prior to appointment.
