Teaching Assistant
Salary: £24,454 - £26,015 (pro‑rata, term‑time only)
Hours: Full-time, 8:30am - 4:30pm
Contract: Permanent for the right candidate
A specialist school in Stockton-on-Tees is seeking a committed and motivated Level 2 Teaching Assistant to join their dedicated team. This is a rewarding opportunity to support autistic and neurodivergent children and young people in accessing highly tailored programmes of study within a nurturing, forward-thinking environment.
As a Teaching Assistant, you will:
Support pupils on a one‑to‑one basis and in small groups
Work independently and collaboratively as part of a skilled multidisciplinary team
Help deliver bespoke learning programmes that meet the individual needs of pupils
Foster positive relationships to support students' wellbeing, engagement, and progress
Contribute to creating a calm, structured, and supportive learning environmentWhat We're Looking For:
Level 2 TA qualification (or equivalent)
A positive, proactive attitude and a genuine passion for supporting young people
A willingness to learn, develop and engage in ongoing training
Resilience, patience, and the ability to remain calm under pressure
