About the Role
This is a full‑time, permanent role based flexibly across our Cornwall head office locations (minimum 40% of the working week) and remotely within the UK.
Responsibilities
* Reconciling store and online transactions, including cash, gift cards, loyalty cards, petty cash and payment transactions.
* Recording and reconciling sales to e‑commerce partner accounts, such as Microsoft AX.
* Reconciling bank and control accounts including external payment bodies where relevant.
* Posting accounting entries and preparing audit working papers, updating as requested.
* Posting income received from partners and wholesale customers, ensuring correct allocation to the relevant customer account on AX.
* Creating import journals and posting journal entries.
* Identifying and resolving any issues where required.
* Assisting the Credit Controller to ensure timely payment of wholesale debt by sending copy invoices and credit notes on request, sending statements of accounts to customers, chasing remittances, dealing with customer wholesale queries, and maintaining the database.
* Planning, managing, and improving Seasalt’s financial accounting systems and control processes by coordinating and supporting Finance system testing and development, supporting internal and external project teams and suggesting efficiency improvements.
Qualifications & Skills
* IT literate with working knowledge of Microsoft Word, Excel and Outlook.
* Numerate with excellent attention to detail.
* Analytical mind with a rigorous, methodical and logical approach to problems.
* Organised with excellent time management.
* Able to prioritise and work autonomously.
* Good team player.
* Excellent communication skills (written, verbal and telephone).
