Responsibilities
Assisting the Warehouse Manager in maintaining the smooth operation of fast-moving environment.
Oversea and coordinate the daily warehousing activities of your allocated store / warehouse.
Implement production, productivity, quality, and customer service standards.
Achieve the appropriate level of picking, cutting, preparation volume to schedule.
General maintenance of workspace to health and safety guidelines.
Ultimately, you should be able to ensure that your teams daily operations meet and exceed daily performance expectations.
Supervise warehouse staff and daily activities.
Identify areas of improvement and establish or adjust existing work procedures and practices in your area.
Organise and maintain your stock and storage areas.
Ensure timely labelling, batch references, delivery receipts, goods in count, and measure procedures are adhered to.
Ensure goods in / re location books are kept up to date and handed into office on regular schedule.
Review floor area or goods in area for bundles, stock left, unlabelled, and work with / check with stock admin to resolve why.
Enable safe and efficient receipt, movement, and storage of goods into correct locations in the relevant warehouse.
Work safely, effectively, and efficiently in day-to-day operation of machinery (including forklifts if qualified) to lift and cut to correct sizes material to work schedules and pick notes provided.
Responsible for driving work standards and management and audit of stock in the warehouse by good housekeeping and maintenance of ISO quality control procedures.
Timely processing of returned goods back into stock working with Stock Admin.
Work as part of a team with drivers to load and unload materials in timely fashion and ensure shipments and stock transactions accuracy.
Show courtesy and be helpful to staff and customers /suppliers when querying, collecting, delivering, or returning materials to warehouse.
Using the monthly inspection sheet for your area, maintain a safe workplace without risk to health by proper and timely assessment of risks to health and safety, and to implement measures and arrangements identified as necessary from the management.
Ensure security of your store / warehouse.
Attend meetings and contribute to company strategy as required.
Any other duties as required by the company.
Experience
Previous experience as a warehouse supervisor or manager, leading a small team is essential.
Familiarity using cutting machines is advantageous.
Experience operating forklifts or similar machinery is highly desirable.
Ability to perform heavy lifting (up to 25 kg) consistently throughout the shift.
Competency based transferable skills and training is essential.
Basic health and safety knowledge that is relevant to the role and a warehouse / storage facility environment is essential.
SOP knowledge, exposure, and experience is essential in a warehouse environment.
Must have worked to deadlines and schedules of work.
