Clinical and Research Fellow in Trauma and Orthopaedics
This is an employment collaboration between University College London Hospitals and The Princess Grace Hospital, part of HCA Healthcare UK.
This position is for a Resident Doctor who has served at least 1-year in the NHS and has completed MRCS, to undertake research and clinical work under the primary supervision of Professor Fares Haddad.
The post is initially for 12 months.
Responsibilities and opportunities
* Focus of the role will primarily be in lower limb arthroplasty and sports surgery, with the opportunity to learn the basics of robotic surgery in lower limb arthroplasty.
* Undertake clinical and operative work at a registrar level and join trauma lists if desirable.
* Collaborate with a dedicated team of Research Fellows, contribute to service delivery, and pursue high-quality research for peer-reviewed publications and national/international presentations.

* The post aims to boost the candidate’s academic and clinical achievements to secure a place on the national training programme, and can be used for specialist training for those who have FRCS (Orth).
Qualifications and eligibility
* Medical doctor with at least 1 year of NHS service.
* Completed MRCS.
* Interest in trauma and orthopaedics and willingness to engage in research and clinical work under supervision.
Duration and setting
The job is initially for 12 months. The role offers flexibility and can be tailored to the candidate’s research and clinical needs.
