JOB PURPOSE
The role of the Workshop Manager is to:
è Manage the process of optimising workshop resources to meet agreed departmental budgets.
è Ensure customer requirements are fully understood and communicated in an effective manner to other members of the department.
è Support the Aftersales Manager in managing the sourcing and supply of manufacturer vehicle parts and monitor all service processes.
è Support the Aftersales Manager in achieving service volumes and profit objectives through motivating and developing the workshop team to be fully competent in their productivity.
è Deliver Manufacturer CXM targets through right first time, on time workshop management and through class leading internal and external communication

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
è Calculate and manage the effective use of workshop resources for the business.
è Implement technician retention tools as per company guidelines
è Recruitment of technicians
è Ensure workshop is hitting and maintaining EVHC targets
è Monitoring and being proactive ensuring work levels are sufficient to meet targets
è Monitor individual and workshop efficiencies to ensure key performance indicators are met.
è Plan the distribution of work amongst the team utilising available skills mix.
è Identify individual training and development needs and manage bookings.
è Manage liaison between workshop and service reception on customer vehicle progress.
è Monitor and maintain workshop standards in accordance with brand requirements alongside the Workshop Manager.
è Ensure understanding and adherence to the requirements of manufacturer service requirements and customer satisfaction indicators.
è Maintain and develop own skills and technical knowledge.
è Maintain safe working practices and abide by the working rules and standards of the business.
è Ensure all service processes meet brand standards requirements and that they are implemented in a consistent manner.
è Regularly communicate and interact with members of other departments to develop the business and the business team ethos.
è Communicate regularly to the workshop team, sharing updates on targets and internal communications

Essential:
è Competency in numeracy, literacy and IT.
è Good organisational and leadership skill with the ability to delegate and motivate the team.
è Strong problem solving and decision-making skills with the ability to work under pressure.
è Full UK driving licence.
è Smart appearance.
è Energy and enthusiasm.
è A full understanding of workshop department and KPI’s
